An EICR provides a formal assessment of the safety and condition of your wiring, protective devices and accessories. Landlords use EICRs to evidence compliance with current regulations, homeowners commission them before a property purchase or sale, and many insurance providers expect them to be kept up to date. During an EICR we inspect and test representative samples of circuits, examine the consumer unit and earthing arrangements, evaluate RCD protection, verify bonding and check for overloading or signs of overheating.

Defects are coded by level of urgency, and the report explains exactly what needs to be rectified to achieve compliance. We can complete any recommended remedial work and issue an updated report once the installation meets the required standard.
